Quality Inn Sycamore - DeKalb

Nice location for what we wanted.🤷🏼‍♀️We didn't spend much time in the room. The room was basic and very outdated. Every piece of furniture in the room was 'abused'. The blankets were clean but had a couple stains on them. 😝 We took them off and used the ones we had in our truck!! We went to the hot tub♨️ and pool 🏊area. We only used the hot tub. When we walked in it was actually cold 🥶in the pool area. I did not have the courage to check the pool waters temp.🤷🏼‍♀️ The hot tub was not hot. It was maybe 90. You could feel a breeze💨 coming from below the window next to the hot tub. The hot tub was 'hot' enough to loosen our backs after about 45 mins. 🤔 If we were ever in a situation that I needed a last option type of place, I'd probably stay again.

Front desk was super friendly and welcoming upon arrival. One reason we booked with Quality Inn was for the heated pool and hot tub. The pool was not heated at all. We ended up not using either amenities. This was a huge disappointment.

Positive: The beds and bedding were amazing! The pool and hot tub were great also. Negative: Older room, not as clean as I would have liked it.

Booked a room today and a lady calls me telling me that the hot tub and pool not working and she had an attitude when I told her we had a baby and she was being so mean!!! If you don’t want to deal with people then don’t work as a customer service!!! Her name is Alicia never going to this location because of this mean lady!! Was being mean at the time I was being nice!!

Pricing very affordable. However stay did not go as expected. Less than 30 mins into settling in and trying to have dinner I set my bowl on the nightstand and a roach crawled out of the drawer Only option I was given was to switch rooms or leave. All hotels nearby were booked. Tried reasoning with Mike(manager) . Long story short he cared about nothing other than the money and still charged my card at full price. No to mention the neighbors next to me experienced the same issue. Toilet had dried urine around the rims .. I could say more but I’ll leave it there . BE CAREFUL BOOKING WITH THIS HOTEL! Have a blessed day 🙂
