I wish I could give NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!! Recently stayed here for the night and the OWNER tried to REFUSE lobby area access to my boyfriend's service dog!!! She kept saying no pets allowed, when his SERVICE DOG patches were very clearly visible on his harness. I explained at check-in he was a service animal, no issues when they charged our room. But come morning it was an issue to be in the lobby with him. I explained AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME- HE IS A SERVICE DOG to a Marine Veteran, wearing his harness and on leash. The owner of the hotel kept saying no pets, no pets in lobby- finally I had enough and had to educate the owner on Georgia ADA laws. And she still kept saying our hotel has rules on pets. HE IS NOT A PET!!! I again calmly repeated he was a service dog, and that they cannot ref
Every visit I make to this lovely area is at Mountain Chalet. Rooms are clean, spacious, and spacious. The older property is very well maintained. The staff are always polite, helpful, & efficient. Hot water is plentiful. Refrigerators are larger than a small square. Many good restaurants are close by. A
This is a very nice older hotel that is very well maintained. The colors both inside and out are a little dated but everything seemed to be clean and in good working order. Can you find fancier hotels, yes, … but not at approximately $100 per night range. You can certainly spend less, but I do not think this hotel is overpriced… any nicer and you would spend $30-$50 per night more.
The location was great...the service left much to be desired but the worst was the rock hard bed. I read other reviews that stated the bed was so soft and they had a great night's sleep. When I arrived I sat on the bed it is not comfy by any means it is like sleeping on the ground like concrete ground so I went and asked for some pillows to like help cushion the bed some and they said "you've already got five on the bed" and I said yeah but I need a good night sleep...and she said "I love when I stay here it's better then my bed at home" I thinking like ok great for you...I'm paying for the room and I reserved a king so I could have a great night's sleep and all she can tell me is that she enjoys the bed and they can't give me extra pillows... That's not serviced by any means trying to con
The staff were exceptionally helpful and very kind. The room was not only spacious but also affordable. The bed was comfortable, and while the pillows were a bit too soft for my liking, they were still cozy. However, I wish the bathroom had been cleaner; there was a dead spider on the towel, and another one stuck to the bath rug. Additionally, the curtains were not long enough to fully cover the exposed sides of the window. Aside from these issues, our stay was very comfortable.
