Quality Inn & Suites Harrington - Milford

I contacted this hotel 2/23 after being without power for 2 days due to a blizzard. The gentleman that answered the phone advised they did not have any pet rooms available but due to the circumstances he would open a room for me. I have a senior dog and after being without heat for 2 days I was so grateful that he opened that room for us. Check in was fast and easy.

It was good enough for one night. The bed was comfortable. The room needs a good facelift. The shower fixtures had soap buildup - probably could not come off anymore. Water pressure was good, though. The toilet had a ring in it - would be easily removed with a pumice stone. The lighting at the sink was dim, at best. The drapes blocked the heat, so we had to kind of tuck the drapes on to the windowsill. It was just okay.

It always amazes me at how high maintenance people can be, nitpicking at everything when you're at a budget chain. Don't believe the bad reviews, as my experience was very good. I booked rather late for a weekend overnight stay (on a holiday weekend, mind you), and this hotel was at a good price point. My goal was just to get some rest, the back and forth drive isn't possible in one day. It had a good bed (slept very well), micro/fridge, pretty much everything I needed. Small critique is the lack of water pressure in the entire bathroom and a shower curtain that smelled of mold. WiFi spotty. But, checkin/checkout was easy as pie. They also serve breakfast and have a pool, but I did not partake as I was here to see an old colleague and friend, slept and headed out. Also want to men

King suite with jacuzzi tub. The room was a lot nicer than expected. Everything worked, heater, TV-except for stating they had the NFL package, we were unable to watch the football game we wanted to watch. Breakfast was hot and good. Felt very safe staying here. Train tracks across the street, but wasn't to loud unless you were outside.

Positive: Not one thing. The pool pump wasn't working right. Oil floating ontop of the pool. My room smelled like pee, the side table was broken, the shower had mold on the ceiling over the shower. Someone down the hall was smoking pot. Never again. Negative: The whole motel. Picture on the website are all wrong. Worst hotel i have ever stayed at. Never again
