Harrington Welcome Inn rm 105

It's barebones with WiFi. You get what you pay for. In my case, room 116, the heat wasn't on before I got to my room, in the middle of February. The textured ceilings had dropped tiny bits of material into the bee since the prior cleaning. Not the end of the world, but their next renovation should remove the texturing. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were very plush and didn't have as much substance as they should to support your head. The bedding wasn't very substantial given the weather. There's a microwave in every room. The water for the showers is sufficiently hot (again, February) WiFi was reliable. Staff were kind. The continental breakfast is only cereal, coffee/tea, and orange juice. There's a microwave in the lobby to BYO.

I see others had issues here. Probably some of the rooms are renovated and some not. The room I stayed in (1st Floor, left hall way, last room on right) looked new and was very clean. I wish there was shampoo and conditioner in the shower and a better breakfast, but for the price I was expecting bare bones and surprised by the nice room and friendly people. The location looks kind of bad on Google Maps but was fine when we got there. Close to the DE State Fair which was the goal.

The room was dirty, and the beds were horrible. We had to buy blankets to sleep on in our clothes because the sheets had stains and the top covers looked dirty. There was a deodorant top on the floor in the bathroom, and it wasn't ours. My grandson was checking for bed bugs. He said it didn't look clean. He's 10. Won't stay there again. We'll sleep in our vehicle first.

Upon arrival the person who checked me in, not very engaging. I knew about the “continental” breakfast but no mention of anything about it or the hours. Go to my room and I am before opening the door met with a smell I can’t put my finger on what. Open the door and I smell, what I think smells like musty cigarette (non smoking room though) Walking in further, room appears to not have been cleaned AT ALL, sooo dusty everywhere, floor unswept. I go to the front desk. A different person was there and very apologetic about room condition and put me in another room. What I thought were stains on the sheets, were actually holes. The bathroom, appeared to be not shown any love in cleaning dept. I did not shower there. Most places I stay right up until check out, I rolled out at 7 as soon as I wo

Very friendly staff. Nice clean room. Very quiet. The lady saw I was sitting in my vehicle on a hot summer day. ( I had been there for hours because I arrived in town before check out.) She prepared my room herself and knocked on my car window ( I was asleep) to tell me that my room was ready and I could check in earlier. And she was so pleasant my entire stay.
