Quality Inn & Suites Brainerd

Disappointed ☹️ Old hotel no elevator, stains on the ceiling mold round on the ice bucket to stains on the towels. Bring ur own toiletries bc they only provide u with a small tube of 1 shampoo and 1 micro mini bar of soap, foam coffee cup within sugar or cream. Bottom line they appear to be hurting for money with low turnouts for reservations. Also, the mattress is cheap, springy low to the floor. It looked as if it had already been slept in based upon the way it was made up with wrinkles etc... however the furnishings outside of that was decent just not my cup of tea for a QUALITY stay very low budget for my taste.

Rented 2 rooms, one was fine but the other one only had 1 of the 2 beds made. Asked for another room and neither one of the beds were made. Had to get moved a 3rd time to get a room with 2 made beds. Also the hallway smelt like smoke even though it’s a smoke free hotel and occasionally it would smell strong of pot. Lastly there was no hot breakfast item on Monday as they only had bagels and cereal with no juice.

Positive: Nothing, it was terrible. Negative: The room was the worst smelling room I’ve ever encountered. The smell was so strong it was heard to breathe. The carpet of the floor was literally wet and it felt like the room hasn’t been opened in years.

Well I wasn't expecting much but to check in and drop off our stuff to only learn a few hours later that someone came into our room, without consent touched and moved our belongings into another room and then expect that we would be understanding. I believe the front desk attendant said, "now don't be mad but we have your other room to someone else and we just moved your stuff to another room". This is unacceptable and handled poorly. If there was any sense of management, I would have escalated in time.

The staff was nice, kind and helpful even to the point of mailing us a set of insurance cards that came out of my wive's purse and was found in our room. Thank you to Renae Anderson for sending us these important cards. However, the hotel is very, very old and run downed. The breakfast was very bad and the rooms are not nice. The staff did what they could to make up for the condition of the hotel, the grounds and the rooms. We will not stay at this hotel again!
