Quality Inn St. Mary's

This hotel was something else. While the people running it are nice. The actual hotel was not. No key card required for other entrances, no elevator. Stained towels and rags i would not use. Shower curtain had what appeared to b a greasey stain like a mechanic or something would leave. My toilet overflowed wasn't cleaned up well left toilet water soaked towels in the room. Once at the time and even after the no option housekeeping. Coffee maker was unclean. But the kicker was when a roach ended up thinking i bought it dinner. Also after calling the health department I learned they are well aware of this hotel.

A solid hotel experience👍🏾. The rooms are nice, cozy, and clean. The staff are very polite and helpful. The free breakfast is pretty good. Its not "luxury" so dont expect any super fancy shmancy BS. Its amazing quality for the price and I have no complaints, just a good ol' hotel.

I was visiting the St. Marys area with a friend of mine over a weekend in May 2021, and we had the opportunity to spend a Saturday night at this hotel. All in all, we had a pleasant stay.||||We arrived around 2 p.m. on Saturday. Our check-in process fairly smoothly, except for the fact that the clerk charged my credit card (and had to credit it) before I had the chance to tell her that I wanted to pay with cash. It worked out okay, but I wish there wasn't the assumption that guests always want to use their credit card when sometimes we do prefer to use cash when we can. Our room (#226) was clean and comfortable... no problems whatsoever. We slept well too, which was great. The hotel was pretty run down and dated. The side door was never locked so I am concerned about the lack of security and people in and out that did not come through the front. The breakfast included hostess cupcakes- not something I would consider a breakfast option. My sheets were dirty- although not dirty- were stained as were some of the wash clothes/towels. The bathroom was also not super clean, had cracked walls and overall run down. The walls were very thin and I could hear EVERYTHING in the hall and in the room next door. It met the need for my trip but will likely stay in Celina, only a few miles away, to have a better overall experience.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast hit the spot! The location was perfect for us, and the price was reasonable. A good value for our stay!
