Quality Inn Plainfield I-395

Rooms were fairly clean. PTAC unit was broken in our first room - we didn't find that out until overnight. We were told if maintenance didn't come to fix it they would give us another room which they did. It was also fairly clean but not deep cleaned. Hair dryer broke upon pulling it off of it's holder. Breakfast was completely abysmal. Even the plastic wrapped pastries were stale. You could put a smaller amount of money into this hotel and it would easily go from a 4 to a 7 for me. Price was the best in the surrounding area which helped a lot. Area was fairly quiet with a lot of close stores nearby.

Walked in and it smelt so bad of mold mixed with a very disgusting smell. Can not explain the stench but it was AWFUL. Went to rooms and floor felt like you were going to fall through it. There were several places that the floor was very very soft and felt unsafe to say the least. Mold on ceiling and very dirty. The courtyard was an entire disaster and FILTHY. Very unsafe with dirt, tons of the owners plants EVERYWHERE, grime, and VARMINT TRAPS in the courtyard. Looked more like a junkyard than a courtyard. My two year old grandson wanted to be outside and there was not a safe place to be outside with him due to the courtyard being not only unsafe for an adult but absolutely unsafe for a two year old to play with supervision of course. It was really gross and there were several intoxicated

Upon check in after a short conversation I was given a rude attitude from Sam, a little Mario bros looking character ! They have an extra little 2.50 service charge per night for what I’m not sure ? The room was tiny and they had a jacuzzi crammed into it ? I’ve stayed at many hotels and quality inns and this one just doesn’t do it for me at all . I reached out to the GM, Mr.Patel and he never returned my email or addressed my concerns , guess he just doesn’t care With a comfort inn in killingly and in Norwich don’t bother with this hotel, you’ll be very disappointed ! Oh, and they don’t even turn the lights on for their sad breakfast area !

Pros: Price & Customer Service Cons: Breakfast & weak amenities This place was booked for a wedding for over the weekend. The rooms were pretty clean all things considered. Price was the best that I could find within a 30 minute radius. Upon arriving, we were given a room where the HVAC was not working properly. The next morning breakfast was extremely lackluster. I understand most hotels don't have good breakfast but this was abysmal. We asked to have maintenance to either repair the HVAC or get us in another room. They agreed. It wasn't until a couple hours later that we had heard back maintenence was busy in other properties so they set us up in another room. The area is relatively quiet, but if you are on first floor you will likely hear guests on second floor if there are any. Over
