Quality Inn Morton at I-74

Stayed here over the weekend as I was in town for school. They charged me a 40$ fee and when I called they said they were missing a pillow. Staff was friendly when I checked in, but this isn’t a place I would want to bring any items to my home from. Stains on the sheets, bed was halfass made. They invaded privacy by needing in my room while I was gone to work on the tv. The shower still had hair in it and the dispenser in the shower cracked off and had chunky soap in it. I should have asked for a refund before I even settled to sleep in there, but there were no bed buds so I sucked it up. There is a slight-off smell in the rooms that my clothes took home with it. Conveniently located off I-74, this older hotel was clean, reasonably priced and run by friendly staff. Our bed was comfy and water was hot! Fridge and microwave in the room. Restaurants and shopping surround the area so you have lots of choices without having to drive if you don’t want to. We were pleasantly surprised and will stay here again!

The hotel didn't feel very welcoming due to coffee access and water access being locked off during part of the day. The coffee was in the breakfast area, and doors were locked after breakfast hours. I understand they don't want the area being messed up during the day, but the area would be a delightful place to sit and visit with others, instead of the two little couches in the lobby that were frequently occupied by an employee. Water was available in the gym, which was always locked at night, and often times forgotten to be unlocked during the day. Guest laundry was also locked, and had to be opened by an employee. The hotel was ok, and reasonable for the price. It just would have felt so much nicer if not for all the locked doors.

Mildew on the shower grout. Unprofessional caulking done everywhere. Sink looked like it was being held to to counter with caulk. Door to hall crooked in frame so bad I could see light coming in. What's with the half size pillows? A/C was difficult to set to comfortable temp. Breakfast was not great, but the waffle maker worked at least. In the $65 range, so didn't expect much and they certainly exceeded my low expectations.

I booked online for a family vacation. When we arrived it was late. I rang the bell several times and finally had to call. We booked for 6 adults and to children. She charged me an additional $10 because we had 4 adults in one room. The breakfast left a lot to be desired!
