Quality Inn Hyde Park - Poughkeepsie North

Very good hotel overall (7.9/10). Stayed 1 night in April. Nice room, everything worked as it should. Room size was good, not big but not small either. Its fair to say it would feel more spacious with a queen bed in it as opposed to a king (but I personally don't mind sacrificing a bit of space for a larger bed). Very comfy bed, loved the cover/quilt. Bathroom was a little on the small side. Shower was great, excellent spray and water pressure. Plus, it is one where you can actually control the water pressure (generally with a bath/shower combo you can control the temperature whereas the pressure is one-size-fits-all). Perfect!! Extremely clean, everything worked. Had minor issue with TV remote replaced immediately. The front desk staff was friendly and inviting. Mind you everything mentioned happened Tuesday evening, showing that although it was off hours the service was still above board. Excellent breakfast selection. I LOVED that you're literally across the street from the FDR museum. Finally and really important to me QUIET and my room was facing the street. I will definitely stay here not only again every time I'm, up in the area. Special shout out to the young lady at the front desk, she was great.

Great hotel, only a short distance from the FDR Presidential Library and a short drive from the Culinary Institute. ||The staff was friendly and attentive, and the rooms were spotless. The hotel is a little dated and could greatly benefit from a cosmetic facelift, but at the end of the day, the sheets were clean and the Wi-Fi was fast.

I've stayed at this hotel several times, but I've had problems twice already. The first time, I forgot my charger and it never turned up. Now, I forgot my headphones on the nightstand, and I called 20 minutes after checkout and they still weren't there. This hotel is garbage. I won't be back. I do not recommend this place!!!

Although the staff was nice and friendly the building itself was not up to the standards of our previous experiences with a Quality Inn. The carpets were falling apart, filthy and smelly. The first room we were given had an odor of mildew so we changed to one on the second floor that smelled as well - but not as strongly. We kept the windows open the entire time there and turned off the AC unit. It most likely needs to be cleaned too. It was also difficult to find enough sockets to charge our various devices. We finally moved furniture and unplugged the clock. Although there was a no-smoking policy it was clear people had smoked in the rooms and there was a strong smell of CBD throughout the hallways.
