Quality Inn Fitzgerald

First of all, we didn't get the room we paid for. I paid for a double because there were three of us. My daughter was forced to sleep on the sofa bed. We were only informed of this after we checked into the room and went to put our belongings down. The sofa needs a serious cleaning. and around the tub. Also, there was hair behind the toilet. I was glad to leave. But the bed was clean and comfortable. Stay polite, but dismissive.

It's a clean but very dated building. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A note, there is no elevator. If you have a disability make sure you let them know when you reserve in order to get a ground floor room. As stated, its clean but very dated and has chipped paint and stains on the carpets buy for the city its in and the location, it a very good. Staff is limited so they may not be able to get to your needs immediately but they are very good.

I called and reserved 3 rooms and told them one room needed to be a double bed handicap accessible room for my 90 year old grandmother. When we got to the hotel to check in, all 3 rooms were on the 2nd floor. No elevator! I told them I needed a room on the 1st floor and I told them that when I reserved the rooms. Was told they had nothing available yet there were only 5 cars in the parking lot. Ok so we finally got my grandmother up the stairs. 2 of the 3 rooms had multiple roaches. The sitting chair in 1 of the rooms was filthy. Nasty stains and the smell was awful. Also the continental breakfast to start with was slim pickings. They had cereal and oatmeal but only chocolate milk. I know there isn’t much to chose from in Fitzgerald and the only reason we stayed there was due to a funeral

This hotel is NOT good. It isn't the worst I've stayed in, which why I didn't give it a one. But where to start. The carpet in the hallways was absolutely gross. More stains than carpet. The room carpet, none. There is laminate flooring. OK, could be worse but not very warm and welcoming. The trim between the tile in the entry way and the laminate was leaning against the wall. The last time I stayed here the room had a loveseat in the corner, now there is nothing, just open floor space. The TV, I didn't measure it but at best about 30". The bathroom countertops had to be the originals from the 1990s. The cabinet for the countertops was homemade from plywood and painted brown. Was there for 2 nights,wife and I for personal family emergency. Very patchy and outdated. Rooms bedding cover/ was soiled as if its not cleaned regularly. Have several live in residents and many Barking dogs,one great Dane across the hall said they've been there for a year. Barked everytime anyone walked down the hall,talked,closed any door. Miserable after 1130 pm even. I recorded many times it woke us up. Miserable...upstairs was empty,but doors passes wouldn't open the doors and carpet was filthy and worn out. Wouldn't recommend unless it was all that was available.
