We stayed for a few nights and have to say I was impressed! Bathrooms were stocked and clean and the camp sites are large with decent space between them. We were surrounded by wildlife (gobbling turkeys and a daily appearance of a group of Javalina) and the ridges around are a great hike. Will be staying here again

11 very large campsites generously spaced apart amongst tall pine trees. Two pit toilets were clean and well stocked. No other campers at the end of September. Wolves have been reintroduced in the surrounding forest. We didn’t see any wolves but heard some howls late at night. Well worth the 6 mile drive in and back to Hwy 180. The road was in good condition for any vehicle.

Great camp ground with trail access on both ends. Public toilet, picnic tables, and plenty of room for camper or tents.

Free camping, 14 day stay limit! Vault toilets, but no water. From 180 we drove 6 miles down 232/Pueblo Park road, a winding one-lane dirt road which is perfectly fine for cars or trucks but a little sketchy for longer vehicles or those towing a trailer (not impossible, but not many places to turn around either). As of last week the creek was dry. Visited on a Monday and even with the long drive out, it was busier than we expected. Found one quieter area but there was a dog(?) carcass there so we decided to move on. It was a cool drive & apparently there are some awesome hikes nearby, but we decided to go to Head of the Ditch Campground instead for peace & quiet.

We were the only ones here! Well except for the cows... The trees are very big and spectacular! This campsite was 6 miles off the road but the trip was definitely worth it!
