Presidential Inn

First time staying here and my room was spacious and comfortable (including the mattress). Main lobby area was very nice. Maid service was so-so. From one day to the next the amount of work they did varied. They didn't always remove my dirty towels but they did give me clean ones. The toilet bowl never was cleaned during my stay. I thought the free breakfast was sub-par compared to what you get at other hotel chains. Only thing hot was the pancakes from the pancake machine. No scrambled eggs, no sausage nor bacon. Front desk staff was friendly. Location was great for the conference I was attending next door, but for going off base and returning it was a little bit of a pain.

The rooms were good, and I didn’t really see anything wrong with this hotel, though some of the technology can definitely be upgraded. But otherwise, a neat view of the Helicopter base nearby.

Overall, the rooms seem to be straight out out if a few decades ago with no renovations since, you'd think since they make so much off PCSers that it might be nicer. Unfortunately not. Overall the room does the job but it's certainly not worth the price or the ameneties offered, especially if staying at the TLA facilities near the Commissary. The check in office being in a separate building is annoying. And inconvenient. IF YOURE PCSing: it's important to know that the only late check out they offer is at 12p. So if you're going OCONUS with a flight at 7p, they will not accomodate a 3p checkout but would charge you an additional night, despite it only being 3h. It is Apparent that the Presidential Inn is affordable to High ranking service members and retirees. There was a time when I could get a room there $89 per night. Now they are $175 per night. This rate is extremely to high especially when nearby hotels average between $80 to $119 per night. I used to think that it was beneficial to retired veterans to be able to stay on base in a safe environment. The rates are ridiculous and should be reduced.

The room in general was nice (8242, standard king). There was a fridge, microwave, desk, and cable tv, which all worked perfectly. The bathroom however, was dirty upon check-in. The note on the bed indicated the room was cleaned/inspected 29 June 2025 (3 weeks prior) but the dirt in the tub wiped easily with a tissue, suggesting someone had used the tub recently. The tub also had a steady drip and toilet seat was broken. If you can stay elsewhere, do, but if not then change rooms until you get a good one. There is complimentary continental breakfast in the lobby cafe, which is convenient. Also, the DFAC is in walking distance.
