Andrews AFB TLF Building

This is my families first base in the states after being overseas for a while and the impression this place left was terrible. The entire TLF building is just grimy and dirty. So outdated with no type of regulation at all. We just had a baby so standards for living conditions are very high and too priority right now. This room was NOT fit for a baby. First of all, you can’t even open the windows to air the place out or get a flow of circulating air. Dust everywhere. Black mold in the bathroom. Mystery stains everywhere. HAIR everywhere. I didn’t trust that place after the first night and left. The room barely looked clean and I just KNEW it wasn’t because there was still someone’s stuff in the safe. Pros: full kitchen. laundry in unit. Can reserve the TLF without worrying if you’re going to get a family suite or not. Right next to px/commissary. Kitchen utensils and pots/pans. 2 sinks in the bathroom. Toilet and shower behind another door in bathroom. Plenty of closet space. TVs in each bedroom and in living space. Dogs up to 75 pounds accepted. Plenty of space to spread out. Actual dining table. Cons: the worst bed I have ever paid to sleep on. Grimy and dirty. Walls have food splatter on them. Not well maintained. My fridge leaks. My shower faucet handle popped off. One of the bathroom sinks is clogged. Lack of furniture in living room. Needs a coffee table (hence the tote in the photos). Windows don’t open. Not pictured- main bedroom with queen size bed and bathroom.

Place is disgusting, if I could give a zero I would. Hasn’t been renovated in years since medieval times. I rate this with generosity as best as possible. Room was covered in stains, pubes, mold, boogers and lord knows what. The connecting door is blocked with a chair and bed is super uncomfortable. Staff has been okay but when accompanied for PCS, expected whole family to sleep in queen bed and pull out couch. Entire Inn and told not one room with two beds. Filthy and displeased, renovate and clean.

Really nice accommodations. It was much nicer than trying to stay in a regular hotel with 2 small kids. Within easy walking distance of BX and commissary. Right across the road from Express. The kitchen area was a great benefit during our stay. Our kids loved their little twin beds. All the people working there were really nice. The price is a bit much though.

Need to upgrade. Customer service was great. The price was much higher than it used to be you better off staying off base. You have to go through too much to get on the base with your guess. It's safe on the base overall. TV is the old model.
