Great place to go! It was a tiny bit crowded in the actual resort inside but outside on the slopes it wasn't bad, only issue I had is that we haven't gotten much snow so not all of the runs are open.
We had a blast. We were looking for a ski adventure while we were visiting Utah. We've never been skiing so the thought of spending crazy money on something we don't know we'd like didn't sit well. Powderhorn had a great deal for a lesson and admission at a very competitive price. The instructor, Mo, was excellent. The grounds were great. Every staff member we encoded encountered from the gift store to the customer service kiosk to the rentals counter and even the cafeteria workers were super pleasant. Worth it. The next time we want to try skiing again, this is the place
started skiing here this year and the beginner slopes were perfect. my more experienced friends also loved their blues and blacks. i recommend bringing food from home and coming early to get parking closer to the lifts. staff is friendly and slopes are nicely groomed, even when we barely get snow 🙈
Ive loved this mountain for 30 years. It doesnt feel like the local ski mountain anymore with all the changes, price hikes and droves of people parking down to the entry way on the road. Its not my childhood mountain anymore but its still a neat place to snowboard and ski.
The Grand Mesa is absolutely beautiful any time of year, but especially when the Aspen leaves start to turn various shades of yellow and green! The staff at powderhorn mountain resort were very helpful and friendly!
