Port Royal Ocean Resort & Conference Center

My fam and I love this place. In our experience- The front desk staff is always upbeat and helpful. Bartenders and room services are also good. The location is superb. The pools and hot tubs are pretty awesome too. It is true the place is becoming dated and got hammered by Harvey bad- but we are approaching a decade now - they better pick the pace. Aside from that this place is great for families and pricing is still pretty reasonable give the amenities, location and dedication to customer service.

We have been to Port Royal several times and this last visit was very disappointing. I realize they were hit hard by Hurricane Harvey and then Covid, but it's been more than enough time to make repairs. The main office and restaurant are still located in a circus tent. The garage and elevator were disgusting and reeked of garbage. I dreaded going downstairs! I requested a pet friendly unit, so I wasn't expecting to have the most luxurious furnishings, but our unit wasn't even clean! There was so much pet hair and stains on the area rugs that I didn't feel comfortable walking around barefoot. The kitchen floor was also filthy. The shower in the main bathroom hasn't been updated since the 80s and the fixtures were not compatible. It was extremely difficult to turn the shower knob to a point

Wanted to leave a review for anyone traveling with young kids in the next few months while construction is ongoing. The large, central pool is drained and closed while undergoing repairs. We were a bit apprehensive during our stay due to the large drop off into the empty pool. It is surrounded by beach chairs and caution tape but we were sure to not let our kids get too close while enjoying the surrounding areas. All staff we encountered were friendly. And the beach proximity is a plus. We did do the breakfast package rate, it was convenient location but food options were a bit more limited than what we’re expecting. Fruit/pastry options would have been nice to have. Grew up enjoying this resort and really looking forward to returning once construction is done. We were a bit disappointe

This place really needs a big haul over. My family and I stayed at here in Condo 6119. Was not worth what we paid!! The condo is not at all kept to standards. Where to start?!? Old scratched up furniture. Tile missing from the breakfast bar. A huge empty space in the wet bar. Dirty refrigerator! Couldn't put on hot water on to wash dishes because the handle hits the breakfast Bar. The master bathroom sinks are nasty and stained. One was missing the plug. The whirlpool tub, was old, like stained, and no plug!! The TV literally had wires hanging from the wall because that is how it was plug in. The other room, sink nasty, the shower was missing caulking and like stained. All over the condo there are paint stains, dirt stains, etc. The furniture on the patio is old and rusty. The pools...OMG!

Pool update has been completed and looks like the construction is almost done on the front building. Been a long time coming but past comments are not really relevant. See for yourself. Best pool in Port Aransas. Condos are hit and miss but mine was great.
