Port of the Islands Resort

I chose this hotel for its location to the Everglades. After reflecting a few days I decided to write this review to warn travelers of the experience I had during my two night stay. First, the screen door handle was broken. This was pointed out the cleaning staff as I had to flag her down to clean the disgusting bathroom. The shower curtain was filthy, moldy... and should have never been left in the first place. She was kind enough to clean the bathroom, yet it had a lot to be desired. This hotel has not been updated in years... Mattresses and bedding were old and worn. The internet and wifi wouldn't work, even after contacting the manager via text. I had an amazing stay at Port of the Islands. The resort is nestled right in the heart of the Everglades, offering a truly natural and peaceful environment. You can feel the fresh air and tranquility everywhere, making it a perfect escape. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the place, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.||One of the highlights was the 10,000 Islands tours they offer. It was an awesome way to explore the area and get up close with the local wildlife. The food was also really tasty, and you can tell they put care into it.||I’ll definitely be returning one day to enjoy this beautiful, natural getaway again. Highly recommended!

Positive: Nice setup. Would be great if you stay longer. We just stayed one night. Negative: Restaurant was closed and closest one was 7-15 minutes away.

Honestly don’t choose this one. WiFi basically non existent. No TV because internet so bad. No one ever at front desk. Did find a cleaning lady and after 20-30 minutes got them to replace shower curtain. No one speaks English well. Conditioner dispenser in shower broke. Parking by room again non -existent. Truly believe a lot of rooms are permanent residence so they have all the parking. Lobby was super nice and spacious. Pool are looked nice.

I stayed here because my sister lives in the Port. First they couldn't find our reservation therefore we couldn't check in right away. Then the room was a mess. If I could give a negative 10 I would. Nasty dirty. Food was left in a container in the cabnit with mold. The back splash had something running down it. Bedspread was all stained up. I called three times for towels, no one responded. The curtain rod was held together with duck tape. The closet door was broken, balanced against the wall. Do not recommend staying here at all.
