I wasn’t looking for a resort when I found this RV Park. It’s directly across from the Colorado Welcome Station. I’m not a resort type of person and just want someplace to park my RV and relax from a long day on the road. Full hook ups ...I don’t believe there’s any cable, I didn’t see any hook up for that. Kay the owner was very nice and recommended I might want to check out the local museum and even travel down the only portion of the Pony Express Trail here in Julesburg. Which I did both! If your too picky a person this place is not for you.
Word of advice. Call the city of Julesburg and inquire about their sites at the fair grounds. Cleaner, nice area for your camper. Good hookup points. And there isn’t some unhinged lady running the joint. I’m a contractor and had a little miscommunication with another contractor about where to set the camper. He thought I was talking about the fair grounds, I was talking about this place. The camper got dropped at the fairgrounds. Long story short. After talking to the contact for the city, I decided to just stay where I was. Price wasn’t much more and I didn’t want the headache of packing up and moving after getting all set up. Fast forward a few days. Kay comes pounding on my camper door demanding I tell her what I’m paying in daily rates and what the monthly rate is. Who the
Kay was super nice lady. Only accept cash. The only positive about place is it has electric. The sites is a field, not level. Water you had to have a T on you to "share" with your neighbor. We were parked next to a permanent resident run down RV. The people asked us for jumper cables and wanted us to get his beat up truck started 1-we didn't have cables and 2-if we did our vehicle was the opposite direction and would have required us to unhook from the very unlevel ground. Our tongue had to go up 11”. The sewer hookup was right under our slide. 🤮 We didn't feel comfortable there.
Closed early I guess, visitor center across the street had everything needed for a good nights rest
I don't give many 5 star ratings because I always feel that there's always room for improvement. But Kay is the nicest lady and takes care of the people that stay with her. She shows up when you pull in and helps you get into your spot. She is extremely helpful with information about the area, I highly recommend staying with her, all she asks is that you respect her property and respect your "neighbors". Something that should be easy for anyone to do. I would definitely not hesitate to stay there again and am actually hoping that I get the chance to.
