Point Lookout

I am writing to express my gratitude to the entire nursing staff and aides at Point Lookout for the outstanding care they provided to my brother during his 13+ months as a resident. From his admission through to the end of his life, every interaction reflected genuine compassion, professionalism, and dedication. The team consistently ensured his comfort, dignity, and well-being with attentiveness that went beyond routine duties. Their kindness and skill made an immeasurable difference during a challenging time, offering not only excellent medical and daily care but also emotional support to me, his brother. It tugged at our heart strings to have my dad there. Transferred there by Cox South and easier for my mom to get to, because of the five mile difference, from home to Point lookout. We were a little iffy to say the least, when we saw how the building looked inside, couldn’t get a working tv to work, and horrible cell phone coverage. My nephew had to take something to my dad during dinner and after seeing what they served for a meal, plus a bad dinner experience for another patient, was enough to make us say this is not a place for our loved one. He stayed that one night, and my mom and nephew were there to get him , after the meeting with administrator. We felt that we could give him better care ourselves, and glad to say he is responding well at home. Unless you can be there to full

I needed them...they were amazing...the respect n dignity during this time got me walking again...n taking care of myself..

Horrible place to have a loved one. Food is really bad not worth eating, I wouldn't eat it myself. They left her laying in her bed for a long period of time. Her roommate has complained about the same problem. They started treating them both even worse. The room was not cleaned and was filthy.

After my many experiences with Nursing homes and assisted living arrangements. I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that Pointe Lookout is one of the best Nursing and Rehab homes I have been in. From the atmosphere, to the staff, activities and food. They do their up-level best to make this your home for however long you need their services.
