Point Au Gres Park & Campground

We had a wonderful time here! The beach is amazing! No water or electric on our site but we are self contained 38' class A tight fit between a few trees but we did fine!

Point Au Gres is a beautiful spot to camp. There are 7 sites with water and electric and they are decent size sites. Also about 10 rustic sites and 5 cabins to rent. The beach is very big and the views are picturesque. My only complaint was that the beach wasn’t raked. It could have been way better without the big clumps of stinky seaweed.

It's a small and beautiful park on Lake Huron. I wish there was more information online about the cabins and grounds. It's $10 per day to visit, or $75 for the year for access. There are several structures to rent, including pavilions and cabins. I will be calling soon to see if I can get additional information and pictures of the available spaces. I'm unsure of the living quarters, bed sizes, anything provided, etc. I want to plan and make my trip as enjoyable as possible, but lack of available amenities makes it difficult.

We did not stay at the park. We only went here during the day. We were in the area looking at for sale properties and the kids wanted to play in the Lake. Very calm. And shallow. Very long beach. They had a blast!!

Great cabins and an unforgettable view!! In 2024. I loved it so much that I went again in August 2025 . What a difference. I will NEVER go back and would not even give it a 1*! Cut my vacation short by 2 days without a refund of course because it was completely neglected. The county needs to fix it before it becomes obsolete!! The view was not as nice because of the Canadian wildfires, but that was still beautiful.
