Pine Acres Lodge

I went here as a last minute resort as it was 2 am and everywhere else wanted upwards of $200 for a room and I’d still have to check out at 11 am. I pulled the bedding from the wall but didn’t see anything so figured it was safe. The bedding in a non-smoking room had cigarette burns in them. While the room was fairly clean I did notice dead roaches on the AC unit. All was well until about 7 am when I began to feel itchy, when I checked my arm and side of my stomach was red and inflamed with those telltale signs of bedbug bites. I began to look around a lo and behold I seen one… so not only do they have roaches but also bedbugs! Book at your own risk! I told the owner in the morning and his response was he’d let maintenance know

From my first interaction over the phone to get a reservation, I had a feeling this would be a welcoming motel. No impersonal operator in a remote location to take my call, it was the owner taking my information personally. My impression was proved correct at the easy check in. Rooms were spotless and vintage. Pool was sparkling clean. Nice setting on a huge property with towering pines. At 53 dollars a nite including all taxes- this is a great bargain. I will be back!

Me, my husband and our toddler were traveling and stopped in to spend the night. For the price, you can’t beat this place. The beds were comfortable. The place was clean and in a decent location. Definitely would recommend to anyone traveling through the area!

I have stayed at the Pine Acres Lodge several times since 1968. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The amenities are basic, but you can’t find a better value for your dollar. Whenever I am in Laurinburg, I stay at the Pine Acres Lodge.
