Holiday Inn Express & Suites Laurinburg by IHG

To start, my wife and I have stayed in Holiday Inns from Washington State to Florida. Our expectations of the Holiday Inn standard were not met here. The staff were excellent. We reserved a king room but upon arrival we were told they only had a standard room available. It was late so we paid for our accommodations and went to our room. Room conditions were not what we are accustomed to. The toilet seat was delaminating, there was no soap or shampoo in the shower dispensers and the ceiling over the shower was not in good shape. In closing I'll add that breakfast was great!

I stayed at this hotel on business for 3 weeks. It was an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned well and the bed was comfy! The lobby was beautiful and inviting. Having breakfast available every morning was such a blessing, as I didn’t have to fight a fast food line before making it to training on time. It was everything you would hope for when booking a room.

Being conveniently located close to St. Andrew’s University was the main reason for the choice. Being off site for my activities did not give me the opportunity to take advantage of any of their amenities. My room was clean with a very comfortable bed. I also found the breakfast food standard hotel cuisine, but their coffee was better.

My husband and I stayed in Holiday Inn Express in Laurinburg NC in the Presidential Suite. Here are some pictures of our room.... large pieces of carpet missing, lots of wall damage, the mini fridge door scraped the carpet you could barely get it open! The fake plants have not been cleaned or dusted in what appears to be a very long time! The furniture was older.... If the suite was this bad, I can't imagine what the regular rooms looked like. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly.

We arrived at 9:30 p.m. which is fairly late but were greeted like we arrived right on time. We had been caught in traffic and had longer than expected trip but the staff immediately made us feel welcome. One form and we were checked in. Took a luggage cart and with a minimum of effort we were settled into our room. The room was clean and well appointed with everything we could need from coffee maker to refrigerator to hair dryer, to t.v. and wifi. My husband had brought his laptop and it was up and running very fast. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and everyone from reception to maid service to janitorial was quite friendly. We had a dog with us and everyone spoke to and petted our dog (which made him tail wagging happy). We bought a house here so we will recommend thi
