This site is a large flat site that can accommodate a large group of people and vehicles. It is very close to the main park road and does not require high-clearance or 4WD to access. The site is very flat and fully exposed to wind, but does have 2 picnic tables, a fire ring, 2 shade structures, and a bear box. It is not particularly secluded or private due to its large, open nature, and being close to the main road you might get some noise and light from passing vehicles as well as those passing though to Pila Montoya 2 and 3.
If you like desolate remote beauty, you'll not find a better spot. We picked up a bull snake hitch hiker along the way. Tough on tires. Check your spare
