Phineas Swann Inn & Spa

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Phineas Swann in November 2025. The house had already been cheerfully decorated for the holidays and with snow on the ground, it was an especially cozy environment. Lynne and Darren are gracious and informative hosts and Kasi was also extremely helpful! One is really made to feel at home, including sitting in the common areas (where beverages and snacks are available) and visiting the spa’s hot tub and sauna at one’s leisure. One guest while we were there needed some special attention and the whole Inn team was exceptionally accommodating. We highly recommend a stay!

Phineas Swann is a delightful B&B in a cute little town, with all of the Vermont charm and none of the bustle. Breakfast was fantastic — French toast day one, waffle day two, and frittata day three that even my picky daughter loved. The hot tubs and sauna were great. The fridge full of beers was a great representation of VT’s best as was the honor policy on telling them what was consumed. The free treats and fresh baked cookies were perfect. And the inn itself is beautiful. My favorite part, though, were the people. The inn team was super kind and helpful, and we chatted for awhile. They recommended great places to eat (10% discount at Bernie’s) and shared Nordic trails with other guests. We had a wonderful stay at the Phineas Swann Inn. The owners were so welcoming and they made sure all the details were covered. We stayed in the Green Mountain suite which was perfect as there was separate bedroom space for our kids. The location was great, we were able to walk to the Snow Show Pub and the coffee shop also on the same street. The breakfast was delightful. We loved our stay and hope to be back and stay longer next time!

Terrific getaway spot in charming Montgomery Center. Loved our Red Room with its gas fireplace. Really appreciated the free EV service. Breakfast delicious each day and our room was filled with free snacks while the main living room offered more snacks and homemade chocolate cookies. Great location for skiing Jay Peak and shout out to the Belfry for an outstanding restaurant a couple miles up the road toward Jay Peak.

We've visited Phineas Swann several times and will continue to go back. It's such a cozy B&B with comfy beds, a fireplace, hot tubs, spa, etc. The breakfast that is served in the morning is consistently delicious! They also offer gluten free options, which I definitely appreciate!! We love being 15 minutes from Jay Peak, but in the little town of Montgomery Center, which has surprisingly great restaurants, covered bridges, a little ski shop, a bike shop, coffee shop, and a grocery store! We love it all!
