Patrick SFB Manatee Cove Campground

Arrived on a Saturday and per directions from the FAMCAMP Host, contacted Security to get access via the Commercial Gate. Officer asked the size of our RV; 18' and he said to use the entrance off of Matador Road. Easy access for us though instructions from the Guard to the actual FAMCAMP were confusing but we found it. Followed the signs to the office where we presented all the paper work (proof of Insurance, Registration, Vaccine for Pets, and both my spouse and my ID cards. We paid for a back in Premium site and it was worth it. There is a dog park but it was flooded. The HOST warned us about mosquitos and he was right. In the morning and evening they were TERRIBLE. Beautiful, lots to do in the surrounding area. We had a reservation right by the river. Our host was super friendly & kind. We definitely will be back!

Great stop on our way south with a trailer. Campsites have a cement pad and good water and electric hookups. Individual site grey/black water dump. Views of the river. Some sites are blocked by mangrove, but there is a private river beach access and fishing pier. Close to the runway but not a lot of traffic on the runway when we were there. Active and welcoming community. If you are looking for base amenities, the gas station, commissary, and BX were on base and fine. Gym is just alright, pool was closed when we were there. DFAC has decent food but AMAZING view and screened in patio dining area that is very nice. Close by attractions like cocoa beach and the Kennedy Space Center. Beautiful location and well kept. The on-line registration process is a little arduous.

Really enjoyed our stay. Was on the water lot. Dog fence was nice but my small dog could get under gate and get out. Very secure place to stay. No activities going on but enough tourists activities to keep us busy
