Patagonia RV Park

We had RV trouble coming out of Patagonia lake State Park. Knew we couldn't make it home and had to wait for repair man to get to us the next day. We called and they said come on over. Gave us a well maintained full hookup spot for a very reasonable price. This isn't a vacation destination so to speak. Mostly long term mine workers and such. But they had well kept restrooms with private showers, laundry and small rec.room. people had donated books, clothes and even unopened food packages available for others to grab if needed. I thought it was nice gesture. We were greeted by a lovely, smiling face and told that we would not have a problem having RV repair done on site. Very quiet park in a pretty area. Couldn't be more grateful for the convenience and kindness.

Trailer trouble in Patagonia caused us to need a place to stay in this artsy interesting town off the beaten path. We saw a blue camping sign and nursed our ailing trailer to the campground. What a pleasant surprise. This was the only park within miles and regardless of the condition would have been our spot. Although a bit expensive it was well worth it as the laundry was more than adequate and had the first good RV park wifi we encountered in two months. We were even able to stream a TV show. A bonus was the great horned owl baby who was close to fledging. Between watching the mom and the baby and listening to the owls we were afforded a great deal of entertainment. The park is within pleasant walking distant to the Paton Center for Hummingbirds in Patagonia if you like to walk.

A quick background, our truck needed to be towed to a mechanic. Unsure of the time frame for repairs. We had our trailer towed to this RV Park. Our original reservation was for 2 days. Upon arrival manager said we were good to stay longer if needed. The positives of this location: It was quiet, great water pressure, no issues with the sewer. Tom the maintenance guy is a real gem. He was friendly and willing to help when we needed it. He deserves 5 stars. The negatives: The park needs some major upgrades including its shore power and wifi. With that being said, our power went out frequently in our “row”, during an excessive heat warning. On Friday we were not able to stay in our trailer because temps inside were over 100 degrees. We made a last minute decision to take out our new 5th Wheel. We couldn't be in water, but we hoped for something interesting and quiet. They were able to accommodate our large size and short notice. There is no option for cable/satellite unless you are long term. Does have WiFi. It was a little sketchy and buffered a lot. It is mostly long term utilities/mine workers. And it was truly quiet. Noone bothered us and there is an open field just behind their bathroom/laundry/recroom. This allowed us a perfect view of the 4th of July Fireworks. Thank you.

This place doesn't deserve even 1 star. Gave my reservation to someone else and yet we arrived before closing time. Laundromat and showers not working. Pictures are way out of date, this place is grungy looking all the way around the property.. DO NOT STAY HERE This RV business threw us under the bus! No other place was available. Imagine yourself in a tiny town with no place to stay and you don't know the area and it's almost dark. Very unprofessional and insensitive! They should be ashamed doing that to people!
