A nice place to park, camp, have a picnic, or just hang out. There's a small interpretive sign and a picnic table nearby. Not much in the way of foot trails, but there are 4WD roads that may be hiked, too. Beautiful desert views, with the little town of Ranchita nearby.
No more camping allowed, but cool hidden day-use area, and I even got cellphone service! +Cricket/ATT)... GREAT hiking all around, cooler than rest of desert in summer, beautiful place.
no camping allowed there as of late. but still, a decent place to park and goof off for a day. some trails nearby and lots of boulders if your kids like climbing rocks.
Great place for free dispersed camping. High clearance vehicle required for reaching remote spots
High enough to avoid the heat, great holders and trails.
