Parkway Motel & Marina

All in all, we absolutely loved our stay. The peacefulness of this small island is something truly special, and having a very good restaurant just a short walk away made it perfect. The room was functional and had a classic motel character, but everything was clean, well maintained, and not worn out at all. We even had a room with a large kitchen, which was a big plus. The amenities were excellent, and the value for money was unbeatable. The small private harbor with its boardwalk was beautiful and incredibly quiet — we had the entire place to ourselves and enjoyed complete peace and relaxation. Everything is there if you enjoy fishing: boats, a fish-cleaning station, and you can even buy fresh shrimp directly at the marina. And then the absolute highlight: I was standing there, calmly

I loved this place. For the price of a room at a low-end beach resort at fairly-nearby Naples, we got a good-sized full-kitchen cottage that feels stuck in the 1950s (it's cute) next to the marina on a quiet little island that's nearly in the Everglades. Not for those looking for something on a beach, but if you're here to see the Everglades and Big Cypress and other adjacent parks, or to go fishing, it's very conveniently located and a quiet, charming little place to relax. (There are also motel rooms, but we stayed in one of the cottages.) The lady who runs it is very nice, also.

Fabulous place to stay. Room was super clean and comfortable and had a great old school Florida feeling in the best way!. Very quiet area to fish and explore. Laura Lynn was beyond amazing and helpful. We met one of the owners, super nice guy. At Laura Lynn’s recommendation we went out into the Everglades with Captain Kent. Fishing and wandering. He was terrific. Very beautiful. We hope to return soon!

What a wonderful place to stay. The location was perfect. So beautiful and quiet. The sunset view was remarkable. The island is one I look forward to returning. Aaron was so kind and lended my son some fishing gear he forgot to bring. Laura Lynn was a delight as she took care of us very well. We met Gavin right as we were checking out. What a wonderful group of people. They all took time to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you! Hope to see you again!!

This place is such a wonderful special, delightful, extraordinary, gleeful, happy place. Can I say more? Yes. The owners are what makes this place rise above all else. They are like family while you stay there. They make you feel warm and welcome and will go out of their way to make your trip even more special if they can. In fact, the entire staff is as gracious. The location is exquisite, the cottages simply lovely, the nearby and walkable HavAnnA cafe (which they also own) is a perfect eating place and the surrounding area is old Florida at its best. A great place to experience the charm of the Everglades. Book here! I am already planning a trip back when I can. Got to go back and say hey to the staff and owners again and delight in the location.
