Paniolo Greens

The apartments are very quiet. They might not be the most modern, but everything is exactly as shown in the pictures. All appliances were in good working order, the staff was friendly, and the check-in process was quick. The location is a huge plus!!, as all the shops are very close by. The view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Paniolo Greens Resort with our family of five. The unit was very spacious, and everyone felt like they had their own space, which made our stay so comfortable. Having a full kitchen and three full bathrooms was a huge plus, and the balconies offered great views and a relaxing place to unwind. While the property is a bit outdated and our A/C went out for a couple of days, the staff more than made up for it. They were extremely friendly, accommodating, and quick to resolve the issue, which we really appreciated. We also loved that they offer beach equipment rentals, including chairs and coolers, which made our beach days so much easier. The location is perfect if you’re looking for something quieter and more remote, yet still convenient—only about 10–15 minutes

My husband and I have stayed at this resort many times. The staff is there to make sure you are pleased with the accommodations. I have never experienced a dirty unit or roaches. Before we traveled I saw some of the reviews about cockroaches so I took with us some glue strips. I placed them in various places in the unit. We were there for 6 weeks and caught a bug. We also had the cleaning ladies clean our unit and it was spotless. The resort if dated and needs to be redecorated and new kitchen (which they are in the process of doing now. The Big Island is not really a place you go for beach life. The beaches are very small areas and most have loss of lava rock. There is way too much to see to be a beach bum. If the beach is veery important to you go to another Hawaiian Island.

Overall experience was great! Checking in was a breeze staff was friendly, professional and gave me all the information I needed to know when checking in. The Ohana Suite is great for a more budget friendly resort for 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and 3 T.V.s. Close to KTA grocery store, coffee shop and KTA grocery store. Fine dining is only a short drive away towards Hilton and Marriot Resort area. Nice golf course and mountain views. Recreation area with pool table, foosball and T.V. for viewing sports etc... I put 3 for amenities due to the resort only having 1 pool for the whole resort. Other than that everything else was totally fine!

We loved our stay here. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans & utensils. There are so many things to do at the pool area. We loved the Giant game of chess, pool, ping pong, putt-putt golf. The little store was nice to have in that area. The only negative thing I would say was that the Connect Four game outside was broken and either needs to be fixed or removed. All the staff were excellent answered our questions. Specific shoutouts to Kanolo, Inez and Caleb!
