Palmer Motel

The owners were some of the kindest people I've ever met. Very forthcoming, they treated me like family, & that's hard to find nowadays, especially in the south. I had a non-smoking single, & I loved it. Stayed for a couple of nights, & every time I saw the owners out walking they'd always greet me & ask if I needed anything. This is how a business should be run. Cannot say enough good things about the owners, they truly made my stay pleasant, & I will definitely be returning next winter.

Very comfortable room. It was very clean and the bed is comfortable. Awesome room! Good 'budget hotel' experience . Courteous service, clean room with coffee maker and accessible electrical outlets, decent bed, ancient a/c (noisy but works great). Good shower pressure.

For $35, it was as good a place to crash as any. Sure it's a little creepy at night and slightly outside town, but the lady who runs it is very nice. The room was a bit musty smelling (a smoking room, I think), but it was clean with a comfy bed and nice desk space. Wish they'd had some shampoo. If you're on a budget and can tolerate not having gold and glitter, the Palmer Motel is a fine choice.

I went there because the Irma Hurricane. They were very nice at first. When we asked for the price, the husband said 65, but the wife said 75. I got bites my full body by some type of bugs. My boyfriend and my nephew got some the same. We left immediately the next morning. Now, the bites turn in to bubbles and itching. If this is not a last minute and no choice, we would never go here.

It is everything one can expect from an older motel along a highway. It was clean on the surface but I definitely would stop there. The place smelled of mold in the hotel room so bad I literally had to run down to walmart and buy candles and cans of glade air freshener just to mask the oder that i was certain would cause my death by morning. The real kicker was when i had returned to my room in the afternoon after leaving for awhile and finding the room Had been Tidied up by housekeeping I about wanted to vomit when I discoverd the fresh bath towels hanging on the wall were actually the same dirty towels we had left on the floor next to the toilet that had probably had some amount of piss splatter on them through the previous night with Everyone that was drinking.
