PACIFIC DRIFT San Francisco Pacifica

Whenever I like to do a mini getaway to the coast, I often choose Pacific drift. It's walking distance to the pier and is near the freeway. Formerly America's best value, the rooms are standard, clean and adequate for needs. The pricing is a little bit more than Rockaway inn most of the times. The only thing I'll point out is if you have a bottom floor room, you'll hear footsteps above. Other than that, great rooms.

I wasn't sure what to expect given the mixed reviews and was pleased we stuck with this choice. Our room was spacious and pristine, the hotel was quiet. It is near the centre of Pacifica yet a few miles from the beach and most restaurants. There was no breakfast of course but we did use the coffee maker in the room. Wifi proved a bit temperamental and could not be accessed from the room most of the time. We were pleased that the reception staff allowed us to leave our car there after we checked out.

Positive: The hotel was quaint and quiet. Negative: The remote for the TV didn?t very well.

We stayed at this hotel during my daughter’s sports competition, and our experience was wonderful. The room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable — exactly what we needed after long training days. We were able to rest well, and thanks to that, my daughter felt energized and ended up winning her competition. We truly appreciate the hospitality and would be happy to stay here again. Highly recommended!

On the positive side, it was pretty clean and quiet. Location was alright and bed was comfortable. Air conditioner worked.|However, there are no accessible rooms, the king room is quite small. The toilet was as low to the ground as one for an elementary school child and I said a little prayer each time I flushed that it would fully flush. Water pressure was terrible and it took forever for the tank to fill. Forget trying to take a hot shower. You can run the water forever and it won't get exactly hot.|Arrived on a Friday evening and reported a flickering light in the room. Told maintenance wasn't available until Monday. When Monday came, nobody came to our room to check it out.| Although cheaper than most hotels in the area, it was not worth the money.
