I've done a lot of camping in Wyoming, granted I've only hit a few of the tourist hot spots. But Outlaw Cave Campground was one of the most scenic, beautiful areas I've seen in my many years here. The area is unique, and can be hard to find if you're using Google maps. It's one of the true gems of Wyoming. I was shocked that such a beautiful spot had so few tourists. The view of the canyon was stunning. I'll be going back for sure.

Just wow! This place is beautiful! And some how managed to get my 35 foot fifth wheel in there. Would not recommend a trailer that large without a lift.

Spectacular camground right on the rim of the canyon. Around 10 spots, not clearly designated so a few more if you camp without fire ring and picnic table, plenty of space, only a couple other campers on a Saturday night. Pit toilet, surprisingly couple bars ATT. Trail down into canyon to explore stream and caves. No signs or sounds of civilization other than campers, very peaceful and serene with epic views, and open dark skies for stars. Do NOT attempt to come from the south scenic backcountry byway there are no through roads. Google maps tries to take you of course through private land. Follow 190 until it turns to dirt and then left on Barnum Mtn Road, there are BLM signs at the junction. Last 4km of road is gnarly, passable in 2wd van going slow but not fun, epic scenery makes it wort

Remote and beautiful. We stayed there with motorhome but the road is rough so slow driving. If you can do the hike to the bottom of the canyon it is well worth it. Be sure to take some water.

Absolutely amazing, this is one of the best places I've ever stayed. The canyon is so beautiful, and all the flowers are in bloom in late May. The road in is fine as long as it's dry, I'd haul a trailer in or drive any vehicle. It was wet when I visited, and you'll need chains for the mud or 4 wheel drive. The hike down to the river is a spectacular climb, very intense and challenging. The directions google maps gives is going to be wrong and you'll end up in a cow pasture with no turn around... from Kaycee just stay on the main road, there are signs guiding you, bear left a couple times but just stay in the road and you'll end up on the canyon rim at the campground.
