Ouray KOA Holiday

Nice campground. Almost 5 stars but for couple things. ||The good: Great staff, one of best stocked stores encountered, clean restrooms and showers, wooded, and nice fire-pit. ||The not quite as good: |Nice laundry room but 2 of 5 dryers out of order. (All washers working so had to wait on getting a dryer). |It has a restaurant. In evening had a pizza and fried ravioli which hit the spot. For breakfast didn’t quite hit the mark. Our friends had pancakes and sausage patties and the patties were underdone. I had a breakfast skillet which was good , but bacon was small shreds had to hunt for. Husband’s hiker’s breakfast (fruit and eggs) was great. ||All in all glad to have stayed there.

This was my first stay at a KOA, and I’m genuinely torn between rating this higher for the amenities and lower for the site assignment and service, so I’m settling on 3 stars. The good: Check-in was easy, even after hours. Our packet was waiting and it was simple to find our site. The bathrooms were excellent, especially compared to typical forest service campgrounds, and the dedicated dishwashing area was very handy. I loved being able to have ice and firewood delivered directly to our site, and the onsite general store was a big plus for convenience. The dog-walking area was well set up with bags provided, and most of the staff we interacted with were friendly and pleasant. I stayed here for a solo trip with my dog (4 days)...by far the best service and experience I've had with any campground. Overall, the noise level was low, very clean showers/ bathrooms, and layout within the grounds. Great location as well (40 mins from Montrose & 15 mins outside of Ouray). Staff were super friendly and give great recommendations for local finds- Aaron is awesome. He'll go out of his way to make sure visitors are 100% satisfied. Could not have asked for a better experience- I'll be back <3

We had an amazing time at the Ouray KOA! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We felt highly supported and absolutely loved the Halloween activities throughout the weekend. We’re already making plans to come back. Thank you!

Beautiful place, great park, and friendly staff. Just don't ask for a spot in the back away from the noise. You'll be parked next to a walking path, the laundromat, and office. But we still enjoyed our stay.
