Osprey Campground

Great fishing. Campground was empty on a Monday to Tuesday. Got colder than expected. Fire pit and site were clean.

Nice but very small campground along banks of the Platte River. All campsites are without shade trees. Great place for swimming, fishing or tubing. Not an issue for me but couldn't get mobile signal here or hardly any place along the river. The other campers were all friendly and considerate with music, pets and then kids.

My family and friends have been enjoying Osprey Campsite since the 1980's. It has changed over the 40 years. It's still a perfect campground with no shade.

I camped at Osprey campground last weekend. The site was okay, no shade which is unfortunate, but there are dumpsters and portos, which were well kept. What detracted from the experience was the camp host Billy. On our second night, Billy decided to have more than a few drinks as well as partake in some of Colorado's famous legal weed. As he became more intoxicated he got a bit loose with his tongue. "I'm not racist but...I'm glad that Mexican family (great folks, would be neighbors again) left, because now it's only us white people." He made frequent sexually suggestive comments about female campers at other sites. What really made me uncomfortable was his lunatic raving. "I wish the lord would take me and end this suffering. I can't wait for the day God takes me" while also alternating

flat and open area. was only here for day use to access the river and it was fine. no shade anywhere but lots of picnic tables. bring your own canopy or hang out by your car.
