Orlyn Motel

This is an old roadside hotel with the doors of the rooms opening directly onto the parking lot. It's run exclusively as an AirBnB these days (the only way to get a room is through that site). There was no human interaction with anyone on the site, no breakfast and I didn't see vending machines or an ice maker. The room was basic but comfortable. The bathroom is quite small but adequate and well stocked with necessary supplies. It was clean and the bed comfortable. It was a little dark inside. It took the wall unit a little while to cool off the space (we visited in July). It's right on a main road and I expected road noise all night - I didn't hear any road noise. For what we paid, it was a fair value. If we're in town again for one night, we'd definitely stay here again.

Discriminating against disabled people is against the law. I messaged ahead of time to let them know that I travel with a service dog, and only found that they would turn me away because I CALLED THEM. I was supposed to check in less than a week for a wedding. Now I have nowhere to stay and might not be able to go to the wedding at all. At least if you’re going to break Air B&Bs own rules (which states that hosts MUST accept service animals) let people know more than a few days in advance of your trash behavior.

I stayed here for one night after camping in Ohiopyle State Park when a storm hit! There was no power and no hot water and I desperately needed a shower and a dry place to stay. This was my first time ever staying at a motel and I was very impressed! It was very clean and nice on the inside. Checking in and out was a breeze I felt safe and Orlyn was extremely helpful. I ended up accidentally leaving my purse behind, and she actually mailed it to my home eight hours away from the motel! The service was exceptional and I plan to come again next summer!

The rooms are clean and fairly modern. The biggest draw back for me was the size. As a 6'4" man this place is a rough place to stay. The bathroom is only slightly bigger than a closet.

Orlyn Motel is very clean, the prices are GREAT. It's newly remodeled, Orlyn the owner she is very friendly and very accommodating.‏
