Original Romar House B & B Inn

We recently spent 3 nights at the Original Romar House. Really enjoyed our stay, the inn itself is full of character, with a fascinating history. The best part of the stay, though was meeting Lilia. What a lovely and welcoming ambassador for the B & B, (and a wonderful cook, too!). She was a delightful host, and the heart and soul of the show!|We get down to the Orange Beach area once or twice a year, and have stayed in several different places, but from now on, the Original Romar House will be our go-to destination.

Need a nice quiet getaway..Get away from the busy, crowded hotels. The original Romar House B & B is the place to be. Bring your significant other for a nice quiet getaway, or in need of a solo getaway with peace and quiet. The host is awesome! Very friendly and an amazing cook. We will definitely be back.

Experience Orange Beach as it was pre-Hurricane Frederick (1979). In other words, pre- high rise condos when there were only wood stilt beach homes and a couple small hotels. Some restaurants had their own fishing pier. The good old days. Very peaceful & relaxing. We only left the Original Romar House to eat dinner.. Lilia is an awesome host & cook. Lilia is truly a dream hostess! We've never stayed anywhere so welcoming, cheerful, and accommodating. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless—check-in and check-out were a breeze, and every detail was thoughtfully handled. Lilia is also an exceptional cook! Her French toast casserole, apple crisp, and biscuits with gravy were absolutely out of this world—every bite was better than the last. The perks made our stay even more memorable: complimentary wine and delicious snacks at 4 PM, and a cozy, beautifully appointed room. Parking was super convenient, and the location couldn’t be better—just steps from the beach and nestled in the charm of the historic Romar House.
