Olde Mill Inn

Came here for my annual “night away” because my toddlers don’t let me sleep. What a wonderful hotel & staff. Picked up dinner from the grain house last night, 10/10. The showers even have little loofas (kudos to whoever made that choice!) so I truly felt clean and refreshed after my shower. Such a nice staff at the front desk. I’m writing this review and I haven’t even left yet! Wish I could stay another night! Thank you olde mill for a wonderful stay, I’ll be back!

Positive: The Olde Mill Inne has the old world feel of a bygone era. It is located in beautiful Basking Ridge, N.J. which is convenient to a substantial amount of Revolutionary War history. Convenient to New York City without the hassle of staying there. Negative: ""

The wi fi signal is barely functional. The room is beyond dated. The staff seemed to be working hard. We were in room 146. It either smelled from mold or smelled like an air freshener in a taxi. My guess is air freshener from a smoker in the room before us.||The room was non smoking but people in the next room were smoking right outside. The AC drew the smoke into our room. Please have signs no smoking within 10 feet of the building.

This place is so unique and special. Understated elegance and the service was top notch. The room we had was so spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The mattress was extremely comfortable and I had one of the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. The continental breakfast had a nice variety and we also enjoyed stopping off at The Grain House across the lot. If you are looking for a personalized, relaxing stay, and a great value, I would highly recommend. Also, the gentleman at the front desk was very kind and professional and it was refreshing to have that kind of interaction.

It has been awhile since we had been there but it is still a great place to enjoy a meal. There were 9 of us for lunch, we shared a few appetizers and everyone praised their entree. A roaring fire on a chilly day and a touch of history topped off a great meal. The wait staff was great…..attentive and friendly.
