Courtyard by Marriott Basking Ridge

I had an outstanding stay a week ago at this hotel (Courtyard by Marriott Basking Ridge). The room was extremely quiet (I was on the top floor) and clean. The beds were super comfortable, and the blankets had good weight to them. The heater, though an "in-place" unit (rather than vents in the wall), was very quiet, effective, and responsive when I changed the temperature on the thermostat. Very happy they still have bathtubs in at least some of the rooms. The girl at the front desk in the evening was very nice in a genuine way. Signage from the road was good. I did not have time to use the amenities, but I read that there is a hot tub. I will make this my go-to when in the area. Excellent job, management!

Positive: Nothing Negative: This was not worth $---- for a Friday and Saturday stay. I stayed 30 minutes further away to be at a nice place.

Generally I like the hotel and have stayed before. Convenient to interstate 78 and 287. I did have a coupe of issues during my stay, but the staff dealt with them quickly, and made me happy. The breakfast is not free, but the food is good and reasonable. Actually, the breakfast sandwich is excellent!

We had an early morning planned and reached out to the front desk staff regarding incredibly loud neighbors ( I waited until 10 pm to call even though we tried to go to bed at 9pm) and the employees did not seem to be concerned. They stated they called the room and all was fine. Mind you the girls in the room were screaming and yelling but the front desk employee did not come upstairs to listen. She only called the room to check in. ||Instead of dealing with the situation they ignored it and made our stay very uncomfortable due to lack of sleep.

This is an interesting and integrated review...I was in town for a work meeting at Sanofi in Morristown but stayed here. 1st, when I arrived, the front desk was kind enough to wish me a happy birthday coming this Saturday. A card had hand-written wishes inside, which was very warming! I know Marriott does this for their guests, but even so, a very nice touch! Upon my return tonight, as I was at a red light in Basking Ridge, the light turned green, I had begun to go and then saw a fire truck coming from down the street on the right. As I was already in the middle of the intersection, I reacted 1st to stop, but then quickly realized the oncoming firetruck was needing to go straight across the intersection right towards me!
