Old Lyme Inn

We went to the Santa tea last year and it was wonderful! Santa came around to all the tables and talked. Then pictures in the little fireplace room. The food and service were wonderful. This year did not compare. Desserts were missing from our tray. The tea was cold. Whipped cream was served with scones? Took 15 minutes to get a glass of water. And Santa left before we got to visit with him, after asking our waiter several times when we could see Santa. They were very kind and tried to accommodate and fix the issues, but for the expense, and that we drove 1.5 hours to get there, and that we didn’t even visit with Santa during a “Santa tea”, we probably won’t try again next year. I was hoping it would be a yearly tradition.

What a wonderful jazz brunch yesterday! ❤️ The musicians are FANTASTIC!! the inn is so cozy, as we sat next to the fireplace Super friendly host (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name— next time!). And, Adam made it the best; super personable and interesting to talk to, and great great service Wonderful Valentine’s brunch! 💗 Can’t wait to go back Thank you All. 🎶💝🎶

The Inn itself is nice overall, had some old-school charming vibes. Our room was decent but felt like it could use some upgrades. Our biggest issue, however, was customer service related. The hot water was out and we were not able to take showers the morning of our departure. Two members of our party called the "after hours" cell phone number reporting the hot water issue, and neither received a call back (even though the message said they would return the call right away.) The manager, who checked us out, whom we reported the issue to, offered no apology or concern for the inconvenience for us as guests (which was upsetting). It's safe to say, she seemed not to have the proper hospitality training needed for her role. One of the staff members, Leslie, was very friendly and helpful with

My boyfriend and I have come here about 4 times in the past year and we absolutely love coming here! From the service, to the food, to the ambiance and music we always feel welcomed and well tended to. Gianna has always given us a warm and kind experience making it so easy to come back. We always stop at the Side Door for a lovely soothing jazz show. This is an experience like no other! Highly Recommend if you love delicious food, great music, and an unforgettable night :) every time my boyfriend finishes his food, he always wishes got a second plate it was so good. we will surely be back! Thanksgiving Dinner Nightmare 2025 We had 3:30 reservations for 8 for Thanksgiving dinner. The table was ready on time. No server until 4:00pm to pour ice water. Bread was brought to the table shortly after, The bread was cold, hard, and crusty barely could break the bread and forget about trying to cut it with a knife.Dry crumbs all over. 4:15 waitress came to take drink orders. Shortly after came to the table for the starters and main course. Some of us had the stuffed mushrooms which were stone cold. Waitress finally came around and I spoke to her about the cold stuffed mushrooms so she took them to be zapped. Mushrooms came back hot. 5 of us ordered the turkey dinner. The potatoes were cold, gravy was cold, turkey cool, stuffing was a mystery stuffing not sure what it was but dry and
