Odisha House of Rest

The Front Desk Employee's are rude & give off a very creepy, negative & cultist vibe! The front lobby is in Shambles & feels more like a run down, unclean & the catch all storage area! Don't be fooled by the pictures & all these fake ratings! If you book online at any of the Hotel Websites you are charge 12 to 25 dollars more then what the sign out front says, from the unplowed parking lot to the snow & ice covered sidewalks, and out of service pool! This run down, dirty & weird smelling dump is definitely a place to avoid at all cost!

Positive: The gentleman manning the desk was polite and very helpful. Rooms were clean even if they were quite dated. Negative: TV was so small I could barely see it from by bed. There was no actual sign in front of the place.

😊: The good news: the room was perfectly clean, I was able to sleep comfortably, and the hotel was quiet (probably because there were very few guests—only five cars in the parking lot). The attendant was pleasant enough, although my calls to the front desk went unanswered.. 😢: First, the hotel was difficult to find because it has no sign. Apparently it was acquired a couple of years ago (the former name appears to have started with «K») and still no sign has been put up: the old one is just draped with a black tarpaulin, as if the owners were in mourning. The marquee is still visible, but it does not give the hotel's name, just the price of $45 per night. The value for the cost was excellent. The rooms were well maintained and clean David was an excellent host He was very friendly, concerned.and helpful Do not be wary of the parking lot that appears empty during part of the day - remember someone has to be first. My next visit to Shawano will include the Odisha House of Rest

My husband booked the hotel and man o man was I in for a surprise. We were going to an event and this was local with an open room. The sign without a hotel name says $45 rooms, but we were charged $95, not sure if this was due to the hot tub, but we didn’t even want or use it. The room was so outdated and made me feel like we walked on to a porn set. There’s a plush recliner set up perfectly to watch the hot tub. There’s carpet everywhere but the bathroom with multiple stains. When we turned the AC on it smelled very mildewy, so bad we had to open the window for a bit. There was one bar of soap total, I love my husband but I have no desire to wash my hands or body with the same bar of soap he uses for his body. Overall the room was clean besides the stains on the carpet, but the overall
