AmeriVu Inn & Suites Shawano WI

A nice hotel, a little outdated in regards to look, but nice and functional for a stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Every day at breakfast I was asked if I wanted fresh eggs (as a veteran, I was fine with what they had). My only real complaint was for few days there was a strong smell of teriyaki in the hallway, like someone was making it in their room. It was gone after a couple days and I never smelled it in my room. Overall, a good place to stay. I would stay again.

Positive: Room was very clean Negative: The television reception was terrible. Kept cutting out and buffering. I'm sure 5hey know about it but won't do anything to correct it.

It's a very friendly, clean & affordable Hotel! I've read a lot of reviews about the rooms not being cleaned everyday when guest stay multiple days. I stay in Hotels across Wisconsin, Minnesota and in Upper Michigan 5 to 12 days a month cause I travel for work. And all hotel's do this so that guests are assured privacy and not bothered by cleaning staff knocking on their door everyday! But if you want your room cleaned or need clean towels or wash rags, toilet paper art have your garbage is emptied. Pick up the phone and press zero, and let the front desk know and you can even request the time you would like to cleaning staff to clean your room! So that way you're not getting woken up at 8:00 in the morning. Problem solved!

We have stayed here for three years in a row. Mostly because it’s really close to the USAir Raceway and we come for the drift event. But location has been the only reason we book here. That will not be the case next year. This was the worst year thus far. The establishment is outdated so you kind of get what you pay for (not really it’s pricey for what it is). The smell this year was terrible. We even let our room air out for an entire day and once we closed up the window it was right back to being unbearable, causing all bedding to smell. The building is very humid no matter how low you put the AC on. Don’t expect the best house keeping either. Rooms are dusty, trash is never taken out, toilet paper rolls are never switched out for you. You have to ASK FOR EVERYTHING. When we initially go

The room, beds, pillows and air/heating system stunk so badly we only stayed 3 hours. Also there was some black molded, extremely old pizza in the microwave. It was horrible, couldn't hardly stand the smell. There was no one at desk when we checked out.
