Ocean Surf Inn and Suites

From the beginning we were greeted with a warm greeting from Leslie. We were tired from our flight. Arrived early and were so thankful a room was available a little early since it was off season for my back was in extreme pain. The room was very clean and updated with a rustic look yet modern. A quick walk to the beach as I remembered growing up in Southern California. The breakfast was great. Cute pancakes, pastries, juice, fruit etc. Sean the main manager was very friendly and the maid service was great. Extra towels etc with a friendly attitude and smile. The reason for the trip was to have a memorial service at the Military Cemetery for dad to be with mom. We booked two ocean front rooms to visit Huntington Beach with family. Definitely worth paying extra for the ocean view, otherwise I wouldn’t give it 4 stars. Very simple hotel, good budget option and great location right across from the beach. You can use their beach chairs and board games, and enjoy the solarium - we didn’t due to weather conditions. No dining room, you need to take your breakfast tray to your room

We visited this Inn for the first time. My dad passed away and we flew in exhausted. I am originally from California and Sunset Beach hasn't changed much. Still beautiful like the rustic updated room we enjoyed. We were able to get in a little earlier since it was off season which was great for my back and was in extreme pain. Lesley greated us with a warm friendly welcome and we went up to our room. Very pleased with the view. Our son stayed across the hallway. It was very quiet. Nice breakfast too. Pancakes were served along with fruit, pantries, and other goodies. I met Sean who was the main manager and he was very friendly too! Maid service was great. Offering up extra towels etc. We stayed 2 nights. I wish we could have stayed longer. Our visit was to go to dad's memorial and receive

We only stayed here one night while we were waiting to get on a cruise ship the next day. The lady in the front office was very welcoming. When we told her it was my husband's birthday, she added his name to a surfboard in the lobby.
