Ocean Breeze Inn

Great place to stay. Rooms were clean and laundry service was complimentary which was great. You can hear the ocean waves and birds chirping from the balcony. Really loved the stay.

This is a good place to stay. Its clean, there are laundry facilities available, it is walking distance to the ocean where you can watch the waves crashing into the cliffs, there is a washroom, coffee maker, fridge etc. There are supplies available in a common room which also houses the washer and dryer, The supplies included kettle, paper plates, cups, paper trays etc. There is also a BBQ area, I am assuming that we could have used it but we didn't have time for that. There is ample free parking available. There is also a balcony that is available and you can hear the ocean waves from there.||The property does not have air conditioning. It is about 20-30 mins away from the highway. There are not good restaurant options available in 10 mins or so radius.||One fan was not enough, you may wa

We found this place by accident. We stayed at this place for 2 weeks. The room is very clean with full bath and balcony. You can hear birds singing and ocean tide at night. The yard is beautiful with flowers and fruit trees. Makulu point is only a few steps away, great place to see the ocean, sun rise, and relax. Paradise Cliff is a short walk. Hilo is just a short drive for restaurants, stores. This is also a good point to visit places like East Most point, South Point, Volcano park, etc, etc. I will definitely come back for the next visit!

I booked Ocean Breeze very last minute after discovering my Airbnb Hilo booking was not safe. I used a reputable booking site, Booking.com. Andy responded in less than 30 minutes. When I arrived at the Inn, I had not received the text with check in instructions because my phone had been misbehaving. I called Andy and he met me within minutes to greet me and let me know where the keys were. I have had 2 Airbnb vacation rentals of my own so I appreciate solid people. I am disgusted at the poor reviews left for Andy when the “scam” was clearly due to a third party booking site. People…use reputable sites! If you choose to use disreputable booking sites to save $5 have the decency to not blame the hard working host! This behavior is so wrong. Andy is a very nice man and actually built the Inn

I had a great time staying at Ocean Breeze Inn and Andy is a nice and very helpful guy. I stayed for two weeks and the hotel room accommodated a regenerator and a microwave. Andy also provided us with a rice cooker. It is a short walking distance to Point Makuu which offers amazing ocean view, and we walk daily to say "Good Morning" to the Pacific Ocean. And we walked for about 30 minutes at the dawn round trip to other open beachfront properties. We can hear the ocean waves at night on the balcony. Hawaii Paradise Park (HPP) is about 20-30 minutes from Hilo and other island site scenes. I highly recommend Ocean Breeze Inn to everyone who wants to stay in Big Island HPP.
