Keaau Place

After a month at sea in a steel bunk, and a night in an airport hotel in Honolulu, I arrived at Keeau Place. It's roomy, close to Hawaii Volcanoes N.P., the windows opened to let the breeze through, and it was quiet. And I could cook in the full kitchen, look at the forest from the roomy back porch, and be still after a long research cruise and flying for days at a time. |Keeau Place is just down the road from the grocery and a few restaurants in Keeau, and I've never felt at home so fast outside of backwoods New Mexico. |Next to the door were a couple of adjustable walking sticks. Nice clean room. Plenty of parking. Make a point to read current reviews. We read several reviews and saw pictures of hot tub, beautiful backyard gardens .No hot tub or backyard gardens to see. It is a nicely decorated room. Use of laundry, beach towels and cooler were very nice.

Along with a great Keaau Place staff, the Keaau Place was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed how well equipped our home away from home was. A well stocked kitchen allowing us to make our own meals, a bathroom with all the necessities we may need, and not to forget a washer and dryer which was extremely convenient. The peaceful deck outback allowed us to enjoy quick rain falls in the AM and watch the little green gecko, which we enjoyed seeing daily. At night we enjoyed the songs of the Coqui frogs, so beautiful. There was a shopping center just a few miles which was so convenient as well. I highly recommend Keaau place and everything it has to offer. We will for sure be recommending Keaau Place to any family or friends whom may be taking a trip to the Big Island.

Cozy place to stay. This place was nice and relaxing. It had almost everything you could need. It's location seemed a bit far from most tourists attractions but we managed. (Ended up putting 1,200 miles on our rental jeep) The pillows we comfy but the bed was a bit lopsided and we slept at the opposite side of the headboard because of this. No oven but the unit did have a hotplate, microwave, full fridge & freezer, toaster oven, purified water spout, washer, dryer, private parking area, personal bathroom, air-conditioning (which worked well), travel brochures, indoor & outdoor dining areas, smart tv (with Roku), loveseat, etc. It really had almost everything you could need. The only things that were missing for us- box fan for noise while sleeping, full body mirror, and blackout curtains

We had an amazing time at Keaau Place. It does offer everything you could ask for. The softub is great for relaxing and with the well stocked kitchen you can prepare your own meals. The washer and dryer are perfect when you hiked and have to wash off the mud from your clothes.|We can definitely recommend to stay there and will be back soon.
