Northwoods Cabins

Joyce is a kind lady. The place is dated, mostly for hunters and outdoorsman. Basically, it is not a 5 star resort. However, there are kitchens and plenty of beds. Mine had 3 beds per room. The cabin I stayed in had heat in the living room. So, leave the bedrooms open for heat. Mine didn’t have air, not sure if others do. I would stay here again.

If you have health issues of any kind don't stay here there is hidden mold issue stayed last year thought I just was unlucky and got sick during our trip but just left there again this year and I can tell you I got sick again and that's not a winky dink there is hidden mold in that house The minute I got out of there and got home I was almost perfectly fine again I have underlying health issues and this is not a place for somebody that has health issues because there's a lot of hidden mold and mice poison on the floors not happy at all never will I ever come back sad cuz she has very reasonable pricing and she's a very nice person but they've got to get it together was there October 2024 and again this year October 2025.

We stayed there in November 2025. It was a great place to stay. The owner was very nice and everything was great. Planning on staying there again.

Great cabin for the price. This is an old “up North” place so expect the charm of dated accommodations. Very cozy and inviting. A nice spot to enjoy Michigan activities close by. Joyce the owner was a great host. Spare a few minutes to chat, she’s very nice.

With having to change reservations the day before we left for our trip this place was the place to pick!! Very quiet, clean, calming, relaxing place to stay. Fans were even provided!! That's a huge score in my book!! Best part about this place vs the place we were going to stay at is, it was a mile away from our friends house and about 4-6 miles away from the wedding we attended. All closer then where we were! Another bonus! We starting talking about bringing our kids up and staying there! Thank you so much for helping make our trip a successful one!
