Navy Gateway Inns and Suites

I stayed one night in a basic room with a queen size bed that was surprisingly quite clean and comfortable. Considering the appearance of the outside of the building and the other buildings on the base, I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the room was inside. The room contained a microwave and mini fridge with a spacious clean bathroom. Complimentary bottled water and coffee were included. The staff at the front desk were polite and professional. I’ll definitely stay at the Navy Gateway Inn (soon to rebranded as The Navy Inn) next time I’m in the area.

NGIS has really improved over the years. The staff was very nice and the room was nice. The hot water was a little slow. The base itself is starting to look a little run down around the BQ because of funding reductions. I would stay here again though even for a personal trip.

Very rude to families of people in training there. So unkind. You work for the family. Remember honor them.

Before I came here some of the reviews made me want to not. I'm glad I stuck with it. This place was very nice. I had room 1215 and parked on the street. Super easy access. The room was nice. Bed was comfy and clean. I couldnt find anything dirty except the window exterior. Besides that had a microwave and fridge. Small complaint is I didn't have hot water for two days and the water pressure wasn't great. No big deal. I survived. Haha. I would stay here Everytime I come back to Port Hueneme. Check in staff were great as well. When I checked out at 0200 more friendly staff. There is AC and it was nice.

The room we got was a small, furnished house. It was very nice. The kitchen, dining room and living rooms were spacious and well laid out. The main issue was the shower. Poor water pressure plus a cheap shower head makes for a poor bathing experience. There was also some trash found behind some of the furniture when we got there. Overall though, a good stay.
