Casa Via Mar Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Nice area, it was quiet and located in a GREAT location to so many stores, grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee xyz. The service was good. The rooms were very spacious. Was not a bad stay...we were there for 2 nights the beds were comfy and the pillows our heating/cooling system was kinda wonky in the room we were in...I couldn't set it to a temp like it was broke so we turned heater in for a short time and then turned it off....it didn't cool to much so it stayed pretty comfortable temp wise...but I would have liked to be able to use it properly. Overall I would recommend this inn and would stay here again. There were plenty of charging ports and plug ins and even a magnetic charger in the desk.

Location is only a 2 minute drive from beach access and the popular city park. Decent restaurant selections within a few minutes as well. Property is right next door to a marijuana dispensary, so be prepared for the occasional smell and to see armed security standing outside. Doors are on the exterior of the property, but we never felt unsafe while staying there. Decent size outdoor pool. Comfortable beds and spacious room setup. Renovations were ongoing during our stay. Overall for the price, it’s a good value for those wanting a coastal stay outside the hustle of LA.

Clean, comfortable, and an excellent value We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Via Mar Inn! The property is clearly older but has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are large, spotless, and nicely furnished. Check-in was quick and easy, and every staff member we met was genuinely friendly. There’s plenty of free parking, which was a nice bonus. The restaurant was still being renovated during our stay, so no breakfast yet, but the in-room Keurig and coffee supplies were much appreciated. Several restaurants are within walking distance, so it was easy to grab a bite nearby. Overall, a great stay and an excellent value. We’d definitely stay here again!

We have stayed at this property several times, we enjoy the spacious rooms the great service by housekeeping and of course the front desk staff. It is also nice that coffee and drinks are provided. It is certainly one of our favorite places to visit.

After a few days at Disneyland, we needed a beach break and Oxnard is on the way home. We decided to stay the night and found this place, and it turned out to fit our needs. Being from Sacramento, we love Oxnard and will continue to visit the city and this motel. The people were polite and courteous and that's all you can ask from a motel.
