Nautical Watch

Our Family of 4 stayed in Unit #301 on 7/19 - 7/26. For anyone that does not do steps....Its the 3rd / 4th floor and there is no elevator so I'd advise against it. Lets do it this way.....Good, Bad, and Ugly. THE GOOD - Its right on the beach! You wake up, step onto your deck and boom there's the sand and crashing waves of the ocean! The price for this alone was well worth it! For a family of 4 we have PLENTY of space to spread out. Having 2 floors each with its own bathroom was great! In-suite laundry was a huge help staying a week. THE BAD - As in previous reviews for this unit, the downstairs neighbor WILL complain to the Rental Management Company about you being loud and stomping on the floor. We have been coming here for over 20 years. Its always been a pleasure to stay here. However it is starting to show its age. Our room was not the cleanest looking, the dishwasher doesn't clean, and the stairs for the third floor rooms is just too much now we have gotten older. The location is really good. I just wished more maintenence was being done to keep the place looking fresh. Also the fact we now have an extra charge for sheets and towels was an unfortunate experience.

We stayed in Unit 309 . The place in general was very nice with a beautiful view. It’s lacking some maintenance. Toilet: On the lower level it needs up grading as it requires 2-3 flushes just to get toilet paper to go down . One of the lights in that bathroom does work. Kitchen: The bottom drawer on the range is damaged. Porch swing is broken. Minor but there was no batteries in our remote for the tv. We had to get them it’s the principal. Spiral staircase: Very narrow not recommended for elderly or disabled. Pillows suck !! All in all it’s a nice place to stay with easy access to the beach.

Love the location, especially being right on the beach. Definitely a good value for the price. Nice, clean pool out front. Dislike the spiral staircase for the upstairs bedroom. Furniture in unit is very old and feels moist. Couch and chair could use to be replaced, as well as the mattresses. Cleaning staff does mediocre work. Unit usually needs some cleaning up on arrival. Touch surfaces, especially doors/door handles are filthy. They never seem to mop the floors. Otherwise, we love the place. We've been coming here for years and will continue to.

Nice lil get away but, coming to this place makes me appreciate the Outer Banks even more. The beach here is crowded, way to many people for me. We are staying in an old motel that has been up fitted to be condos. Air B&B
