Natchez Trace State Park Visitor Center

I did not go into the visitor's center, I was there to hike and stretch my legs during traveling. Hiked the short ¾ mile trail behind. I have been to Cub Lake area to hike on previous dates - that is my favorite so far in that area.

We stayed in campground 1 for a night in late February on our way home from out west. Gravel roads with mostly level sites and a warm bathhouse… water was off for winter, but had electric. We had no issue with our camper van, but big rigs need to inquire about tree coverage and the narrow road sections to some sites.

Very nice and large state park. They have playgrounds, camping (tent & RV), Cabins, boating, trails, beach, and more. Pets are welcome and must be leashed. The visitors center was a great resource of information. The attendant was very helpful and friendly. She was knowledgeable about all the park had to offer. I definitely recommend it.

I visited last week with my daughters and their highschool music programs, 2 full coach buses. The ranger we encountered as we pulled in and the staff member in the building were absolutely fantastic. They were bombarded with about 70 or so people using the bathroom, buying stuff, exploring the building, watching the hummingbirds and wandering around. Everything was absolutely beautiful, very well maintained, and the trails were clearly marked. I purchased a few items and love them. The long sleeve shirt I grabbed is amazing. The inside of the visitor center was set up very nicely with educational and historical information.

Amazing Park and great visitors center for park information. Nice small gift shop and friendly park staff. Free State Park passports and stamps are available.
