Mt Carmel Inn

We got here Thursday and we’re promised the pool would be ready. Well the pool was green with algae and some brown stuff covering the bottom of the pool. They said they needed a new filter for the pool and they would shock it and it would be ready Saturday. Saturday comes and it’s not ready and there’s still brown stuff at the bottom of the pool. The grass around the property was not mowed and it was very high and had weeds. The box that holds bedding sheets for the pull out couch contained nothing but a dead mosquito (im dead serious) we had to go down to the management and ask for soap and towels. When they took our towels in the morning they didn’t give us new ones. Street light don’t work, no trash bags, no pots or pans for cooking, pavement is messed up, This place was once amazing bu

We stayed here on 4/10. First off, we received no communication from management whatsoever. We had to just check all of the unlocked rooms and found an invoice with my name on it on one of the counters to figure out which one was ours. There was also zero hot water and turning it on made the entire room smell like sulfur all night long. I was told by a local guide that the hot water problem seems to be an on going issue. All this with a significant increase in price from the previous year. Apparently it is under new ownership. There are better, cheaper options around the lake.

We had no communication from whoever owns this place. No hot water they shut the breakers off and didn’t tell us cold showers for a day before we knew. No internet or TV to watch had to download to google chrome? Some elderly people have no idea how to do this . Pool was not ready for summer season green algae and hadn’t been cleaned you could NOT swim . It was disgusting . No basic equipment to use, paper towels for clean up. Bugs in the corners . I will never stay here again!

My family goes here every year! The pool keeps the kids entertained, and the hotel is really close to the Marina for boat rides on the lake. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and you can bring your pets!

It has been a few years since we last stayed at the inn. We were very pleased to see all the updates the new management has made. On our last stay things were getting worn and the cleanliness was not what it had been. NOW redemption! The condo was clean and well stocked with cooking basics. Loved having a dishwasher! The tiled floors and countertops were a great improvement. It was nice to be able to bring our dog along, and the additional fee is very reasonable. My one complaint and/or suggestion to management: the mattresses on the beds are too stiff and firm-not the most comfortable. Thus the 4 instead of 5 stats. That needs to be your next update. Our stay was great otherwise.
