Mountainaire Luxury Cabin

We can’t say enough good things about how wonderful and beautiful this amazing cabin is! Nestled in a picturesque spot at the base of Ice Mountain on a beautiful piece of property that offers so many amenities. The design and decor is so unique and luxurious all adding to the perfect mountain getaway. The surrounding area has lots to offer for entertainment and good food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and making unforgettable family memories!

Our family had the best time in this “luxury-cabin”! We were looking for a nice place to just getaway, relax and connect with our teens, and this was the place to do it! And, when we wanted to get out, well, we just went for a hike up Ice Mountain, or eased into one of the spas, or sat around the beautiful farm table on the deck and just talked :). The variety of ambient lighting in and around the entire property was spectacular and so picturesque!!! Last, but certainly not least, we REALLY enjoyed “movie-time” in the lower level with the projector, remote screen and the gas fireplace that kept us so cozy!!! There are so many other amazing qualities of this cabin, and our family cannot wait to go back!!! Thank you so much to the hosts…they were very accommodating!!!

We just got back from a long weekend at MountainAire Luxury Cabin and we are thoroughly impressed. Everything you could possibly need they have thought of. We traveled with 2 adults and 4 children (ages 4-12). Between the stocked game closet, sauna shower and top notch kitchen (to name a few)- everyone had something to enjoy! It was just starting to warm up so we did have a wasp issue (especially in the upstairs bedrooms and by the hot tub) but we expected that being in the woods and a cabin.. the kids had no issues bunking in basement bunk beds. Stephen and Mary are readily available for any questions, concerns or issues that may come up. The hot top just needed to be topped off over the top jet and Stephen had answered promptly with step by step instructions on where to find a hose.

We had a beautiful winter holiday at Mountainaire. Our family enjoyed keeping cosy by the crackling fireplace surrounded by twinkling lights, blankets and pillows. We never ran out of things to do, from the trove of house board games and movie night on the basement projector to roasting marshmallows on the back porch and braving hot tub plunges by the moonlight. The place is truly magical. The hosts were incredibly responsive and kind, and it feels like they really thought of every little detail. All in all, a perfect and memorable getaway from the DC area. Ten members of our family (3 siblings and their spouses and teen age children) had a wonderful 2 days at Mountainaire. Plenty of room and lots of personal and high quality touches. The home was perfect for family gatherings, with a large wrap around porch being nicely set up for eating, talking and relaxing with 4 different sides of the house to pick from. The bunk and game room was great for 3 kids, and the plunge pool and spa were enjoyed by all. Nights were spent grilling and eating on the large family table in the screened in porch. Lots of outdoor activities in a private and quiet country setting. The Bauers (owners) were incredibly responsive to any needs and well organized with plenty of information on how to operate the home and all the aspects. The weekend was enjoyed by all a
